Firewise is a young male welf complete with thumbs and a strange mane. He is keenly intelligent, but extremely aloof and stand-offish. While he knows his place in the pack, he will defend himself from going lower - and because he is still quite young, he knows that if he bides his time, he may yet increase in rank as well.

He never backs down from a good fight, but know well that he *is burning*, if he allows it, his magical elf-born powers of fire control will burn flesh, fur or whatever else is nearby. He resents the fact that the biggest-and-strongest must lead. After all, the smartest-and-powered ones could lead so much better.
